ADIDAS IN A NUTSHELL

Adidas is a German mulcorporation international brand that manufactures shoes, clothing and accessories.

It was founded by Adolf Dassler and Rudolf Dassler in July 1924 under the name 'Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory'.

In 1947, relations between the Dassler brothers had broken down and Rudolf Formed a new firm Ruda which is formally known as Puma today.

Adidas is the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe and the second-largest across the globe after Nike.

Adidas had sponsored the cricket bat used by cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar commonly known as The "Master Blaster" from 2008 to his retirement.

Adidas bought Reebok for $3.8 billion in 2005 to compete with Nike.

In January 2015, Adidas launched the footwear industry's first reservation mobile app.
